M's win! (who would-a-thunk-it?)

Sunday we trekked across the state - literally - to watch the Seattle Mariners take on the New York Yankees. And - they won! We booed A-Rod, cheered the M's, watched home runs, ate ourselves silly and had a great time.

The trip over is a bit longer now, there is a lot more sagebrush between us and Seattle. Here's the view from the top of Ryegrass Hill along I-90. That's Mt. Rainier along the horizon. Rikard loves watching the volcanoes as we travel, he's just waiting for one of them to "explode."

The pass was beautiful, all green and lush. The skies were clear and we could see for miles.

Then, the pass dropped down near Issaquah and Renton. This was our dreary welcome to the greater Seattle area.

Our angst over the weather was all for not as Seattle was sunny and warm. We could almost see Mt. Rainier again from the floating bridge.

We parked in Rick's favorite parking lot and headed into Safeco Field. We had to take a bit of a break until the train went through.

We got to the field with plenty of time to explore and we found these awesome moose tracks, leading somewhere. So, Tatum followed them...

And, Keeli followed them...

We found the Moose Den and the Mariner Moose agreed to pose for a picture with the kids. (Keeli was having NOTHING to do with that crazy moose, she was clinging to Rick against the wall while the other two had their photo taken).

When we hit the road to return home, there was one Mariners' fan who was plumb tuckered out.

Kate', that picture of the 3 kids at the stadium is so cute. And isn't it amazing that kids can sleep hung over like that? It amazes me. Of course, I could do that too but the rolls in my belly keep me proped up. LOL Not to mention the chiropractor appointment I'd have to have for my neck! LOL
